Verse 1: I saw you walkin' down the street You turned your head so our eyes wouldn't meet It makes me wonder what's goin' on in this place When you can't even look me in the face Chorus: No one is perfect in this world that we live in least of all me still wish that we could find the way to be kind enough to see the good in all of us Verse 2: I saw you talkin' to a beat It was the most angry thing that I think I've seen It makes me wonder what's wrong with this place When even where I live, it isn't safe Bridge: Can we find a reason to forgive this once? Can we find a reason to leave ourselves in the dust?

I once spoke to man... well, he was much wiser than me. I said "there's just some things that I can't understand...will you help me see? "Jesus, he walked on the water he bled and he wept and died for me. But I just don't know how to tell them there seems to be so much in the way. He looked at me with clear blue eyes and said, "Son it's simpler than you think, There's something I want you learn today If it's the only thing you ever hear me say: Love God, love people," that's all he said to me. "Love God, love people," and they just can't help but see. Later on I walked a busy city street. People were cryin' and dyin' all around, I thought, "I'm no Jesus, I don't know what to do" and then I remembered a little bit of truth... Love God, love people," that's all he had to say to me. "Love God, love people," and they just can't help but see. Love God, love people," that's what Jesus had to say. "Love God, love people," and he will show them the way. Love God, love people," that's all he said to me.

This is the second song I write for the one i love This is the second song I write for the one i love I hope you know who you are I hope you see somethin in me that makes you smile I hope you are who you say you are and I hope I am too Why does it be like this? Where everything hurts? Everything hurts? This is the second song I write for the one i love This is the second song I write for the one i love God knows we've been through Hell and come back new I know I see what you first saw in me I know I need everything but I know I don't need hope 'cause I know... You're the one for me every day after day no matter what they say we are one

It's You 03:46
something about you keeps me awake when I try to sleep something about you helps me make some kind of sense of this world You are what I need to be more than me You are what I need to be more than you see something inside me hears you breathe like the sweetest melody something inside me will ever chase your perfect, unique embrace You are what I need to be more than me You are what I need to be more than you see it’s you it’s you

about

I wrote the songs on this album mostly as an experiment. Originally, I was going to try to write and record 10 songs in 10 weeks using only 4 tracks per song. Well, I moved states and got a new job, so my plans changed. Two years later I ended with 4 songs I was pretty happy with, and here you are! Enjoy.
